It's silly question time!
I know the instinct watch is waterproof, but I'm baffled by the fact that the pins of the charging port are exposed (granted, it's against the skin but still...).
Does one need some kind of lid for these pins so it becomes waterproof, or is it already waterproof, with these pins exposed to the elements?

It's waterproof to 10 ATM pressure which is about 100m/330ft.
The only thing that will get in the charging socket is electricity, just like the only thing that will get through the glass is light.

If you mean sealed in the sense that water cannot get inside, yes. But pins itself are exposed. It should be more or less USB, but I do not see any voltage on these pins, so I suppose that any shortcut…
