Delete ALL saved locations

Is it possible to delate ALL saved locations in one go?

Or do I have to do them one by one?

I'm not confident re editing the lctns.fit file when the device is connected to my computer.

If I did delete the above file, would a new one be created the next time a saved a location?

You can use Basecamp to delete all waypoints in one fell swoop.

No doubt you can delete GARMIN\Location\Lctns.fit . Or to move it somewhere as a backup. And get it back when you copy it to GARMIN\NewFiles .

I did think of that but was worried it would mess something up!

In the end, before you answered, I decided to export from Explore Web a GPX file with all the Collections (I only have waypoints in there) visibility 'eyes' turned off.

When I then moved the file into New Files on the device the old lctns.fit file was overwritten without any waypoints in it. It just has the Header/Footer code - I presume that is what it would be called!
