battery suddenly dying in few minutes

hello ,

I've been using my instinct for about 18 months and getting nearly two weeks between charges.

since yesterday im getting about 60 minutes.

i have powered down the watch and booted into the information screen by holding ABC for four seconds.

i can see the battery charging when plugged in and i can see the percentage dropping when plugged out as i look at screen , percentage drop every minute or so.

For info , on the info screen the battery charges very fast and jumps from 45% to 78% .

how do i fix this ?

I am sorry your watch has an issue. Since you have already hard reset it, there is one more thing you can try to bring it back to normal behavior.

hi bluefish,

my battery is faulty and it's nothing to do with the update.

im sure there are many reasons why devices like these will fail , could be software or hardware , mixture of both.

i like that Garmin updates their hardware regularly , more chance though of a coincidence if a battery starts to fail.

i feel Garmin have done their best with the watch technology and couldn't have asked for more sensors and information from a device that's so simple to use.

i still have a fiftheen year old bicycle gps device that the battery works in from Garmin , it's gps is still accurate.
