It seems to me that my Garmin Instinct cannot perform correctly, with the SAME set of settings, during all these 3 activities:
1) Complete stationary (sitting in a drawer)
2) Hiking/climbing
3) Cardio
Let me explain:
I had the barometer Watch Mode on Altimeter, which worked fine for hiking, but presented this problem: during the night, when it was sitting in the drawer (I can’t sleep with it), it was recording huge altitude changes (I suppose it was translating pressure changes into altitude changes). With the help of this forum, I set the barometer Watch Mode on Auto, which fixed this issue. But now I have a different one:
Every time I do a cardio workout in my home, in about 30 minutes the watch throws at me fake Storm Alerts (I suppose the rapid movements of the hands up and down is translated into altitude changes, which in turn in pressure changes?)
Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a solution except fiddling with the settings for each activity?
Does the Instinct Solar, or other Garmin, perform differently?
Thanks,
