Battery will not hold charge customer service will not exchange

I purchased a Garmin Instinct in Dec 2019 while stationed in Afghanistan, it arrived towards the end January 2020. The watch performed great until I came home in Jun 21. It started not staying charge for longer than a few days. Then a few hours, now only Ten minutes. I went through all the recommended “fixes” and nothing worked. Contacted Garmin to ask for help, explained the situation, they had do what I already done to “fix it”, which did nothing. they offered to do an exchange for 110.00, the watch was 199.00. The watch cost to much to break in such a short time and then to say you have to pay for an exchange. The lady said it retails for 299.00 correct on their website, but is even cheaper now on the Garmin Store for 179.00 on Amazon where I bought it for 199.00. I could see if I had this for years or if it is abused but it still looks new, yet is now just a piece of crap I can’t use it and I really liked it. If anyone knows how to fix this problem of the watch or the customer service issue please advise.
