Hi,
My Instinct display keeps on changing orientation and display weird characters/graphics intermittently. It's fully charged. Any thoughts on what is going on as I could not find anything online?
Cheers

I guess there are two memory bits responsible for the orientation of the display, due to the fact that all Garmin watches probably use the same display driver, and this could be utilised for example on a watch with a crown that is worn either on the left or right arm.
So I guess these bits got accidentally written by some sort of out of bounds write operation, which seems to happen fairly regularly due to buggy software. Often this would lead to a restart, here it didn't. Actual memory hardware errors are extremely rare.
But it's an interesting bug, for sure.
'Have you tried turning it off and on again' - i.e. holding the top left button for eight seconds?
