Altimeter Issue

Hi, I recently bought an Instinct Tactical. Now after the recent update (14.40), altitude values are changing automatically according to the pressure changes when Im not moving. Watch mode is in auto. Its happening mostly when Im indoor and raining outside. This started happening after the 14.40 update. Anyone any Idea, Thanks a lot.

As I often say, an altimeter and a barometer are one and the same instrument and the Instinct has one. As an earthbound person, the relatively small atmospheric pressure changes and altitude gains/losses…

As I often say, an altimeter and a barometer are one and the same instrument and the Instinct has one. As an earthbound person, the relatively small atmospheric pressure changes and altitude gains/losses are impossible to distinguish without additional information. The watch can use movement as an indication that you might be climbing/descending or, better still GPS information linked to the DEM (digital elevation model) data.

All I can say is, don't try to fly blindfolded under low bridges using your instinct and don't expect rain after climbing your local hill.

Sorry, that this probably doesn't help and you may be right that the latest update has resulted in a different algorithm for distinguishing the two causes of pressure change.
