Cable connector

Quick question, I just bought the instimct solar surf. When I plug it to charge it doesnt seem to charge and when I try to sync it to the garmin express the computer doesnt find the watch. I checkd the connector and out of the 4 pins, the one on the far left of the shot is sunkd in while the other 3 are sticking out and can be pushed in. Is this normal?

On my cable all 4 pins are 'spring-loaded'. I'm afraid you have a faulty cable.

yeah it sucks specially for an out of the box watch. Gonna try to solar charge the crap out of it until the amazon wire comes in in the meantime

thx bud, Im gonna use for a lot other rhings, but planning on bringing the ripcurl as well to compare. For sure garmin will do a firmware update at some point to solve those threshholds

Concerning the conmector issue I fix the problem. Alcohol and a little needle propped something out and now it charges. Still getting the amazon cables just in case. The connector doesnt fit snugg as is

I prefer the cable with the docking pad. It's much more convenient that the stock cable. (And much cheaper than a replacement cable from Garmin.)

Cable is even cheaper (I wanted one cable at home and another in my office. Original Garmin cable is 10x more expensive. So I have bought this cheap version and it works fine).

Thx bud. The day of I order a set of 2 cables from amazon and the next day Garmin contacted me and they sent me a replacement cable, so now Im gonna have 3 and a half cables
