Left-handed people

Garmin has an option to select left or right hand, but not which hand is dominant. I'm a left-handed person who also likes to wear a watch on my left wrist, should I just lie and say its on my right wrist to let Garmin know I'm wearing it on my dominant arm?

  • Your watch needs to know what arm you wear it on due to certain functionality. One example is using the Backlight > Gesture feature. Your accelerometer sensor is looking for an expected arm and wrist motion based on what wrist you have set your watch to.
