My watch just updated to 14.20. What gives?

I install every beta and PRC manually, however 14.20 was installed by itself. I don't understand the disbelief

Not disbelief, just surprise! Thanks for the pics, odd that Garmin would release a new public release software version without any announcement on this forum, and not make it available in the U.S. as well.

Very unusual, to say the least.

I suspect it is just a number bump from PRC to official and both versions are the same. I also don't recall the usual prompt on the watch notifying that an update is ready to be installed

14.20 Change Log Notes:

Fixed potential compass performance issue. (If you've never calibrated your compass, now would be a good time after applying this update to further improve performance)

Well, since the update sleep tracking isn’t working, Garmin counts steps and floors incorrectly and crashes during the activity...

Likely nothing. Garmin just makes bug fixes a big versionnumber change.

According to official changelog only some fixes.

Changes made from version 13.20 to 14.20:

Fixed issue where device could randomly freeze and become unresponsive.
Fixed possible issues with Garmin Explore sync.
Fixed course navigation issue where the course would not be found again after going off-course.
Fixed potential compass performance issue.
