Auto lap based on location?

Just checking, because I'm fairly sure this isn't possible.

I'd like to get a lap time every time I complete a circuit (it's what i call a 'lap').

  • No, it is not available, but you can mark the lap manually. But I guess you know that well. Although I am not sure you are aware there are actually three ways to mark a lap manually:

    1. Enable the Lap button in the settings of the Activity. Personally I do not like this option, since I use the Lap button (it is the SET button) frequently for switching to the standard face

    2. Pause the activity, select Mark as Lap in the menu, and restart the activity. I use it sometimes, but it is a rather complicate way to do it, and not easy while running, or when needing it frequently

    3. In System Settings, set up a Hot Key for marking the lap, instead of using the Lap key - in this way you can mark laps qucikly, comfortably, and without losing the default functionality of the SET button.

Sorry, if you know already all of this, but perhaps it can help others in future, researching this topic.

  • Thanks , I think I may have read this - doesn't mean I remember it!

    Textbook answer as always.

What I had seen, but now know isn't available is as described here:
