Course selected, started course
Verified staring position, because I already know from two previous long runs that Garmin can't handle it if you run your course in reverse (which shouldn't be a difficult enhancement?)
I started my run but early on, I went on block off the route. Instinct sounded an alert, but I turned the next block and got back on course. However, this was enough for the watch.
For the remainder of the run, 13 miles, the navigator pointed backwards.
The worst thing is that when I'm using a course, it's new and I appreciate the navigation aids. When something like this happens, the run becomes tedious because the runner is required to constantly check your watch -- am I going the right way all the time. It's difficult to focus on the run and really enjoy it when you're staring at a line, and and arrow is pointing the wrong way. Garmin successfully reported mile markers, but that's it.
