Garmin Instinct

Since the battery was flat for a couple of days, now recharged and it displays a heart rate even though I am not wearing it. Also I can no longer see my daily steps, floors climbed, which I used to scroll through using the menu key. Anyone help please.

Not sure what you mean by that exactly - the widgets (screens) for Steps, Floors are gone, or showing zero? In the first case, put them back through Menu » Settings » Widgets. In the second case, try restarting the watch, and if it does not help try the Master Reset.
