Can you connect a Garmin Instinct to Connect IQ?

I wanted to check out some of the customisable apps and widgets but I can't connect my Instinct and it appears, that most of the stuff in there is for other watch types...

Agree this is disappointing there are allot of useful faces .. switching back to my vivoactive now :⁠-⁠[

In the meantime there is Instinct 2, which already does support the Connect IQ technology, including custom watchfaces.
