Is it possible to do it on a computer? Because this takes forever. Also, the names of the markers aren’t saving. Why is that?

You can create courses with waypoints (i.e. routes) in Connect and the waypoints would be on the watch. You can also create routes and mark waypoints on maps like plotaroute then save as a gpx or tcx file then import to Connect. Once added in Connect, go to navigate/courses/then the course you created on the Instinct. Sounds complicated, but it is easier than trying to project a known waypoint from the watch. This is good for creating and following a path for the duration and when you are at your computer.
Another option from the watch instead of project waypoint is to input the GPS directly. Go to navigate/coordinates/then enter a known GPS location you want for the waypoint. I use this when others I'm with call out GPS to go to next on an unknown path that can change constantly on the go.
