How does this thing work

I chose “tactical” in my activities list a while back. It’s the only activity I’ve ever selected. Ever since, every so often, it like, randomly wants to start tactical? Or is already always in tactical and shows me the screen? Idk. How do I stop the watch from forcing tactical mode on me. (Or any other activity for that matter, for future situations)

I did. The manual doesn’t even mention tactical. Like, at all.

I do not know what Tactical Activity is (have the standard Instinct), but if you inadvertently started the Activity, and are not sure whether it still runs, then you can stop in the way described here:

My guess (assuming you are referring to the activity) is that you are just accidentally pushing the activity button (top right) which will start in the last activity that was used. Don't have the Instinct but in other watches the Tactical mode is just an activity that displays location in two formats on one screen. You should be able to scroll down/up to other activity types and select start. Again, basis this on other watches,.
