Heart rate data disappeared

Hello Garmin folks

Ill try to make it short. We are making a television show in Denmark where two people are doing extreme sports. They are both wearing a Garmin Instinct Tactical watch. We only started a few activities during the weeks of recording the show, as the regular health data was fine.  It seems they have somehow been overlapping in the garmin software on pc. I can only see heart rate data from the health tab, from one of the watches. I have tried EVERYTHING, including creating new accounts and relinking them seperetly. When I sync on a new account i can only get activitys, not the genereal health info from each day,  Is the Heart rate data stored in the watch as well, to import manually? any suggestions what to do?

  • Not sure I understand what you are trying to do. Are there two different persons using two different devices, and each is linked to a separate Garmin Connect account? Or are you trying to log data of the two devices into the same account? 

    Anyway, most likely you have somehow managed to associate one of the devices (or perhaps both of them) with several Garmin Connect acounts. You'll need to follow the instructions from the support document Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing to resolve the issue.

    The HR data is stored in FIT files in the folder //GARMIN/Monitoring/ on the device, but only until it is synced to the GC account. When synced, it is removed from the device.

    This happened to my instinct watch as well. After 4 days it seems the watch resets the data captured, most likely due to low battery. I will reset the watch for the third time and see what happens if no solution I will return the watch.

    Hello, Thank you Very much for your reply, Sorry for the late reply. I've been working day and night. To answer your question:  Two different persons used two different devices, and each device SHOULD probably have been connected to diffrent accounts, but instead i used the same account. I thought i could just swittch betwen the two devices in the same account, (menu called devices, in the app/web application) but instead it somehow confused the two, and are now only showing data from the watch i connected last,

    Now i have created multible accounts to re-sync/ re-start the one device that i cannot get  data from. But when i connect there is no health stat- heart data rate at all.
