Instinct battery life is suddenly horrible

I have owned my Instinct for about 2 weeks and I have to charge my watch every day. When I first received, the battery lasted for about 3-4 days on the "out of the box" partial charge. I have turned off notifications, adjusted the brightness, adjusted the backlight timeout....still barely makes a full 24hrs without having to charge. Any ideas/tips....is it related to firmware? I just went backwards on my firmware version (to 11.00) because I encountered the button lock issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the response.... I've requested a replacement unit, as all signs point to a defective battery.

If the downgrade that includes also the reset to factory defaults did not help, and if you do not extensively use the GPS, or other power consuming features, then I'd suggest contacting the retailer, or Garmin's Customer Support, and asking for a replacement.

Unless you are using a lot of GPS functions, your watch should last about two weeks. With GPS courses, I went almost two weeks before needing a charge. With a lot of barometric checks, weathers checks, notifications, several activities a day but not many with GPS, my watch went two weeks plus 1 day before being charged. It might have gone another day possibly two but it was on one bar and still learning how much each bar can possibly last. If you need to charge everyday then contact customer support as it sounds like you may have received a faulty unit.

Try a much cheaper Apple smartwatch. Friend told me that once the battery starts to go have to toss it and buy another one.
