Buttons locked without lock on

I have Garmin Instinct, software version 12.10

A few days ago I have noticed that pressing buttons does not do anything. I have to click and hold ABC, GPS or SET buttons. The MENU and CTRL buttons are ignored. Checked Settings > System > Lock - it is off.

I don't like this functionality and would like to revert to what I had before. Simply clicking a button at any time should have an effect. It feels like some bug occured and this is not a normal watch behavior. However I did not touch any settings.

When you turn on the Lock. There is a Lock icon. When you long-press any button the lock goes opened. Now in this case there is no lock icon - the buttons simply does not respond, unless long pressed.

Any clues what happened to my watch? And how to make sure the buttons are responsible without having to click and hold it?

Rather install the v12.20 RC, it avoids having to redo all the configuration after the reset.

I ended up doing a Reset of my Instinct's settings which has so far fixed the issue.

MENU - Settings - System - Reset - Reset Default Settings

Thank you. That has resolved my problem. It looks like from now I will have to check Garmin software forums and version log - since they release bugs like all other normal software developers.
