Is there a way to get a gpx of a single track with timestamps?

I can export a gpx from the web interface but it has all of the tracks I've recorded instead of just the one day, and I can export one from the explore app on the phone that has just the one day, but no timestamps. I'm looking for a gpx file for a single hike with timestamps so I can use it to geoencode photos in lightroom.

When you export an Activity in the GPX file format, the file then contains only the respective activity, not all activities of given day. So if the activity contains multiple tracks, then you probably forgot to stop the activity and start a new one, between the hikes.

... but if it was indeed the case, just use the Trim function (in the cogwheel menu), select the part you are interested in, trim it, save, export, and then restore the original (also in the cogwheel menu), and then repeat for the other parts (if needed).

I have 4 activities on my list on the website. When I select one in the map and choose export, it exports the trackpoints from all of the activities on the map. I don't see a way to only display a single activity on the map to export it.

Not sure where you see multiple Activities on a single map - AFAIK there is no such option anywhere in Garmin Connect, but go to the page Activities » All Activities in Garmin Connect Web, click on the title of the Activity you are intrested in, and export it from there. It will export only a single Activity exactly as you recorded it (from the start to the end).

As I wrote, if you did not stop the Activity between the hikes, and recorded the whole day as a single Activity, just use the Trim function as described in my previous post.

I see it on the explore.garmin.com website. It looks like the connect.garmin.com site will export a single activity, thanks! I'm going to leave this question open in hopes that there is a way to do it straight from the phone app, but the website method will work if not.

Explore in not a good tool for working with activities. Frankly told, I almost do not use it, so cannot advise you much, but if you need help for that specific app, you best ask your question on the forum dedicated to Garmin Explore Android (resp. GE iOS, or GE Web).
