My complexion is about that of Will Smith and my wife has very light skin color. The Instinct is much more accurate when she wears it and very often when I'm working out and my heart rate should be around 170+ it's showing ofen times 90 to 110 bpm.
I know 170+ because I also have chest strap monitors I've used for years so I know the rang of my heart rate now due to experience.
When I'm gasping for air and can barely speak during cardio I check my instinct and it says EASY 109BPM.
Any tips or any feedback related to tracking bpm would be helpful.
I've tried resetting watch to factory default, tried wearing at varied tightness around wrist, tried wearing on my left hand, (im lefty so wear it on my right hand. I've toggled that setting as well when changing), tried wearing so that sensor is on the inside of my wrist.
The only issue I have with this watch is the bpm tracking inaccuracies and also the vibration level (notifications) is too strong with no way to adjust except turn it off. In the week that I've had it the vibrations now rattle the watch and makes an odd sound unless strapped uncomfortably tight on wrist. I've read many complaints about the vibrations being too strong and / or no option to adjust vibrations. I cannot wear it too tight especially at night so just disabled vibrations unfortunately.
