Activity storage almost full

Today I got this message:

I was quite surprised, because I have not so many recorded activities. But I found about 130 files (named like MB4A4413.FIT) in the directory GARMIN\Monitor, which took about 2MB.

I deleted them all and I have enough free space again.

Does anybody know what are those files good for?

The Monitoring folder holds the daily HR, steps, Calories, and some other data. There are being deleted when you sync the watch with Garmin Connect, and usually there is only one active file, after a successful…

The Monitoring folder holds the daily HR, steps, Calories, and some other data. There are being deleted when you sync the watch with Garmin Connect, and usually there is only one active file, after a successful sync. If the files are not being deleted, then perhpas there is a problem with closing the sync. Or perhaps one of the files was corrupted, and the sync/deletion was stalled becuase of it. Look at the folder in a day or two again, just after having synced the device - there should be only one fit file.
