Same here, just went for a run - all day, ok - start run, no HR - end run, HR back.  It's like it thinks I'm swimming or something.

  • Same for me. Also, this seems to have started happening at the same time my Instinct started recording heart rate whilst swimming. Most peculiar, maybe reset?

  • My heart rate is back (I only turned the watch off and on again and don't know if that fixed it or not) and my swimming heart rate still works (which is nice).

Mine does something similar, heart rate works fine all day, all night, no issues. As soon as I start a workout, even just a hike, it flips out. Heartrate went from 103 to 120 to 90 and then all the way down to 59 where it just stayed until I restarted it. Then about ten minutes into the hike it jumped up to 150 which is where it should have been. Im so close to throwing it up on Ebay...

  • It's the same bug that gave us HR during swimming.

Listen... If your last activity was running and the next was swimming then it will measure your HR during both and it will show it at the connect app. (Normally to non solar instict shouldn't measure HR during a swim, but in this case it does and it does it pretty good!)

If then you change again to running it will stop the Optical HR because the last activity was the swimming. You must go again to the watchface and open the run once again.... Then the loop is again the same HRM for all activities.

Only when you start a swimming activity you have to do this, otherwise the OHR works normally. The good news is that with this we can have HR during swimming and that's something new that we didn't have before (of course you can't see your HR during the activity but it's recorded inside the connect app)

  • Yes I answered alresy here about how that mechanism works

  • Hey. I amvhavin same problems. When I am hiking hr shows 60 or 70 bpm, when I stop it shows 140 or 150 the way it should be. When I am cycling it shows perfect. That is why I bought chest hrm.

Yep, same issue here. Low heart rate during workouts, then all of the sudden it jumps up to the correct measurement. I've seen posts about skin type, wearing position etc... but it didn't behave like this when I first purchased it 2 months ago. If it can measure my HR under normal circumstances, and while cycling, then a hike shouldn't throw it off. Definitely a bug.
