Always on compass option?

Is there a way to keep the compass always on. When hunting, I don't like how it times out and goes back to the home screen every two minutes.

That would be nice, or they could also give the option to put it to the up right circle of the home screen just like gshocks. That would be awesome.

Start any Activity (if you want to save battery and do not need any GPS tracking, start an indoor activity). Once on the activity screen, long-press the ABC button, and you'll stay on it indefinitely (as long as the Activity runs in the background)
