Heart monitor stops working randomly

Hello everyone,

I have had my intinct for about eight months. Over the last few weeks I've noticed that the heart monitor just stops working. I always keep the watch updated, regular restarts and clear any excessive memory build up. I didnt really have an issue until the latest update.

In order to fix it ; I have to restart my watch multiple times while manually turning the heart monitor on and off through setting until it comes back on.

Is anyone else have this issues or know of a fix?

Your issue and timeline sounds identical to my own. Everything worked perfectly until this most recent update. In addition, my HR is reading excessively low when I manually check my HR through pulse.

I have the same problem I updated to version 10 , while hiking heart rate is lower than my resting heart rate.Two others on the same hike had the same problem with their new garmin instinct

I bought my instinct recently and I've been having this exact same issue... Has anyone had any response or luck figuring out what could be the issue?

I was about to return the watch.

Bought mine from amazon. I have breaks in the heart rate monitor readings. They are mostly 4 minute breaks that happen at random times. The tracking at night and while sleep has been continuous though.

I also suspect that removing the HR widget from the watch fixes this sometimes. But it could be a coincidence. Let me know if you observe similar patterns.

I'm having the Same Problem but it Appeared just recently and it happens longer than 4 Minutes. My Version is 12.20.
Thit this happen to somebody else?

It is really annoying how many little Bugs that Watch brings with it.

I have the same problem. Just bought instinct solar yesterday and first exercise that I made everything works well but then updated to newest software and problems began. Have trying to reset watch multiple times with no luck. My version is 12.20

i have no ideas anymore what to do.

Sounds like the issue is with the newer software versions

Anyone know if Garmin has taken note of this issue?

Is there a way to downgrade the software?

I dont know, i would love to have a forum with Collected Feature & bugs Requests with a Garmin Offical to see the Status of the Request.

I tried several different things to make wrist heart rate to work and found one! It’s been working for two hours now, let’s hope it stays like that . I turned wrist heart rate off from connect app and then after it sync with the device turn it back on from the device and it starts to work.
The way to downgrade software sounds good. If someone know how, I’m interested.
