Have you setup up your sleep pattern in the Garmin Connect app?
Yes have set up Sleep Settings for bed time and wake time
Could you post a screenshot of the Sleep data in Garmin Connect Web, after having activated the Movement option (click the button Movement under the graph), and also the Heart Rate graph for the same day / night?
The graphs are registering sleep at 23.08 but by that time i was sound asleep after going to bed at 9.35 and the awake time at approx 23.30 didn't happen. I have tried to edit some of the other days sleep time but graphs just show more awake time that is completely unrealistic.

Please post the graphs from the web interface as asked originally. Unlike the graphs in the phone app, the web interface shows also some movement data before and after the sleep period, hence it is more useful for analyzing the issue.
Also, what is your setting for Sleep and Wake Up Times in the User Profile of the device?
Edit: additionally, the first graph (HR) only shows the time of the night after midnight. Since you are more concerned about the sleep time (not the wake up time), it is necessary to post the HR graph for the previous day, where we could see the HR at the bed time.
