Navigating Back to Start - Does it take me back the exact route?

Hi,

If I were to start a long hike with lots of twists and turns and I got lost, let's say that I use the "Navigate Back to Start" function. Will the GPS take me back the exact route or will it just navigate to the original origin point? I'm trying to figure out if it would lead me to go through all the loops and circles I did or if it would direct me back via the shortest route possible.

I hope I was making sense. Let me know if I need to clarify my question better.

Hi,

You have two options, one would take you via the recorded route, the other is a direct line to your start. The wording might be tricky in the menus, or at least for the Hungarian version I have. It should also prompt a notification if you deviate from the track on your way back.

And if you take a shortcut when doing the TracBack, it should automatically skip and continue from that point where you re-enter (at least in my limited testing).
