So here is my problem:
when I sync with GPS my watch switches to some strange zone UTC+12:45 and date is set to 48 day ahead
When you go to the GPS menu (long -press the GPS button), and acquire the satellites, does it show your correct location?
You should try deleting the file EPO.BIN from the folder //GARMIN/REMOTESW/ on Instinct, and then syncing over Garmin Express, getting a fresh one, and then going outdoors and acquiring the GPS satellites again.
If it does not help, try reporting the issue directly to the developers ([email protected]). The first level Support is usually not well trained to handle unknown issues introduced in the latest firmware.
Hi, thanks for getting back. I checked the GPS location and it does have correct coordinates, altitude is wrong as it says -19m. I've deleted the EPO.BIN from the directory and got back as soon as I opened Garmin Express.
Unfortunately watch behaves exactly the same, I'll send the email to email you provided.
Hello there,
Facing the exact same problem with my instinct watch (also stuck in Morocco...). Did you make any progress on the issue? Am in contact with Garmin support, sent them a video and a series of files from my watch, but they seem stumped by the issue.
I have the exact opposite issue, sometimes I find it set to a bad time (I think it is the time of sunset?). While setting with GPS seems to be correct. I've turned off any alarms I had to see if that helps. But I don't get when it goes to the bad time. Sometimes it resets with recharging but not often enough to say that is it. My Vivioactive HR used the phone for the time. Wish I had that option. Maybe should try the manual setting. Just thought of that.
