  • It's a wristwatch!! Why would someone use it on his ankle???

  • Why would someone use it on his ankle???

To avoid counting arm swings as steps while keeping recording the HR. If you know about a better way to avoid counting the arm swinging as steps, let us know.

  •    Are you seriously?! Improved the reliability of communication with bluetooth, instead of correcting just such a heart rate error? Yes, this is a major innovation and correction, bravo! Version 7.20 was released on May 22, 19 days have passed. You have all the health calculations, carried out by the heart rate sensor. I know my pulse when I'm sleeping or getting tired getting ready to sleep, the clock counted it at night at the level of 70-77 beats per minute, I saw it when I woke up, restarted the heart rate monitor and my heart rate became 56-60 beats per minute, which is within the normal range for me when sleepy. You are not in a hurry to fix this, knowing about such an error for more than 2 weeks ?! Do I have a watch from a company like Garmin? Or maybe I have a Chinese cheap consumer goods with an astranomic price tag which is on behalf of Garmin ?! Instead of urgently fixing your mistake, you snuck at all your users and improved your connection with the bluetooth version, instead of working on serious bugs, aren't you ashamed ?! If in this direction there will be the next beta update like this, without fixing serious errors, then this watch will unfortunately be the last watch from your company, it is likely not only for me. It’s not too late to show that your users are not indifferent to you. I really hope that you are still the same good old responsive Garmin, and these serious errors and indifferent beta versions of them in response, this is a misunderstanding. And I hope that in the next beta version I will see the old Garmin where they hear their users! I have nothing more to add, since except for the heart rate monitor, all the errors described here earlier, I see them on my watch. This is a misunderstanding, a huge disappointment. But I hope that it is temporary and will pass quickly.

  • Hi.

Once I noticed the step count shifting massively and me not really moving I swapped arms. Did the trick. Didn't catch anything though.

    Cheers

  • Hi.

I was thinking about it. For a unit that costs nearly 300£ on Amazon - Tactical version, I would have hoped it would be smart enough to calculate I didn't really take 2000 steps.

I'm almost certain the Vivosmart 3 I bought this to replace didn't make such mistakes despite costing 50£.

Apart from this it's not a bad piece of kit.

    Cheers

With this watch you can be so cool that even a candle will have a pulse, and not only it. Even Harry Potter will buy them. And still, your pulse will be like a candle. The problem with the altimeter has not been solved since the release of this model. There is no problem with the old fenix 3 hr watch model, as with this watch, regarding the altimeter. What would you understand how bad things are with the altimeter in instinct, I have a barometer sensor built into my phone, the phone being in a hot pocket and with a lot of heat, without the Internet, shows more accurate data than the instinct that is on hand and to a greater extent in the correct values , since it is located externally. They also broke the heart rate monitor, but you will fix it and I hope to do it well, because even before the update, it showed the pulse data with a delay, even when it was in a calm state. And with such an error as now, all your programs based on the pulse become incorrect. I also wanted to ask you to update the sleep tracking algorithm, because it takes this dream from the air, and I say this as a user of Fenix 3hr and two pairs of instinct (which I regret that I acquired). You relaxed too early about this model, as there are still many fixes to make. If you need to write directly to your developers, give a link and I will do it. All errors described in the first post by the Trux user, I have, I ask you to consider and fix them.

  • Addition to the recall above. Since I often go in for sports, watches with the correct technique and large amplitude of the exercise do not always count the number of times. No, I'm not talking about an error of 1-2 times in the approach, but when you do 10 times in one approach and the clock counts 0 times. Although the exercise on the watch during the approach is recorded correctly. At the moment, this watch is a random number calculator. And you improve the bluetooth connection. In this watch, this last one would be what would worry me if there was a reason for that.

  • I, for one, am very upset to hear that I can't rely on this watch to accurately confirm whether or not my candles have a pulse. After narrowly surviving an attack by a living candle (it's still hard to talk about), the only reason I bought this watch was to check my candles for a pulse. Returning this watch to the store tomorrow.

  • I appreciated your humor, but only as humor. But if you look at it from the other side, then think about where and what you wrote.
