Instinct Tactical - Barometer 83886 & No Temp

Hi All

My watch now shows 83886 on the Barometer and 3 dashes —- on the temperature widget.

its also not recording and flights of stairs climbed during the day and my elevation recordings are way off.

has anyone else experienced this and found a resolution?

Ive tried resetting and cleaning the sensors.

And did you calibrate the barometer?

Hi,

When trying to calibrate using GPS, it gets the result from GPS, I then select “calibrate” and the watch instantly comes up with “calibration failed” If I manually input the same value and calibrate, it also failes

Hm, I think you better contact the support.

I have had the same exact behavior some months ago. Garmin sent me a replacement watch. Apparently there is no way back from there (busted barometric sensor). Best of luck.

Same with me. I think it is hardware failure. I tried the test mode, in the barometer part it said 'invalid'.

It's solved. It is not hardware failure. I contacted garmin support, and they asked me to send them the files in the watch. They analyzed it and they sent me back a .gcd file to put in the GARMIN\REMOTE SW folder. After I disconnected the watch from the PC, the watch said that there is a software update available. I updated it, and the problem is solved. So I think the problem source is a corrupted file in the updating software the Garmin Connect sent to my watch.

I think the same. Because once works fine for a few hours and stuck again. Please share this file, because it's an annoying issue.

EDIT

It worked properly for a few days, all readings were correct and the sensor readings were incorrect again. Baro test invalid. It seems not a hardware issue but software maybe? Any solution?
