Does a left or right wrist make any different?

In the User Profile of the Setting in the Instinct, there is an option for wrist to switch left or right. Does it make any different in readings on step counts and heart rate? Will it get inaccurate reading if wrist sets to left, and I put my Instinct on my right wrist?

I think this option regards only interpretation of gestures. When you raise your hand and turn wrist to see on display, the display should light on for instance (when you have set it this way).

Yes. The purpose of recommending wearing your watch on your non dominant hand is because your dominant will obviously have more movement. The watch uses the accelerometer to count steps, but in no way is perfect. Wearing your watch on your non dominant hand will help eliminate false step detections.
