On “Dressy” occasions, what do you do with the Instinct?

I really want to wear my Instinct daily. Yet, it doesn’t look good in dressy occasions. I have plenty of dress watches to wear for those occasions. I would like to continue to capture my daily steps, HR, etc. and certainly don’t want to wear a different watch on each arm. What do you do in these situations? Just curious. I hate to buy another high-end Garmin, (like Fenix 5,6), just for those occasions.

I just "dress up" the strap/display as appropriate.

Attach it your ankle. Works fine for me, including the steps and HR tracking. In some situations even better than on the wrist.

That’s a decent idea. Today is that dressy day.. I will definitely try it. Might feel weird. But, it is worth a shot.

You just need to find the right postion for a good HR signal. For me the inner slightly back side works really well. I do not need any wrist band extension, but if you have strong ankles, you may need one - if you do not find one at a local store with watches, there will be almost certainly one at a diving shop - divers use extenders when wearing watches over thick wetsuits.

TBH, if you wanted Dressy, you should have gotten something else. There's nothing dressy about this watch. Which is one reason I love it.

Wear it as normal, use it as a conversation starter and brag about your last obstacle course race! :-P

Michael, I've had he same issues a couple times. I ended up just wearing it, albeit a bit tacky looking. Since then, I've purchased an approach S62 which has the quickfit band so i can put other nicer bands on it and still maintain my lifestyle stats.

Two other options for you are to look at finding another wearable that has the quickfit system and wrist heart rate. I think that's the best idea besides wearing on your ankle. Or you can look to buy a vivosmart 4 for just under $100 which apppears tohave the same basic data functions you might want to maintain the stats.

Thanks for all the feedback. Yes, the band replacement seems to really make the difference. I think I’m leaning toward that approach. As, I go through metal detectors a lot. And having it on my leg not only draws attention, but is a bit inconvenient.

Thanks for the links. For the heck of it I clicked on Titanium style. Darn thing cost more than what I paid for the Instinct. The leather would be a good option, but the face of the Instinct watch is still outdoorsy.
