Many have this same issue, the weather information is incorrect. I have double checked it on 3 weather apps and on my private weather station and the info the Garmin tactical instinct provide is way off. ex. today the watch said the wind was coming from the north, but it was infact coming from the south, the temperature and wind speed was also incorrect. i bought this watch becourse i am an outdoor person and i really need precise weather data. What i can see, many others got the same problem, so i dont get why this simple problem havnt been fixed yet. I would like for Garmin to reply on this topic, so i can  be updated about this problem and solution to it Thanks.

  • Weather data is served to Garmin Connect by phone's OS weather service, which may vary depending on the OS, and the brand or the model of the phone. If it delivers wrong data, or does not update frequently, go to phone's system settings, and type "weather" into the search box. Open the app, go to its settings (in my case there is a cogwheel symbol on the app for that, which is a non-standard for an Android app), and verify and eventually adjust the settings.

In my weather app, I can adjust units, auto-refresh interval, enable/disallow using of the current location. You should aslo verify the permission of that application, the battery optimizing parameters (to avoid that the OS stops updating the weather to save battery power), and Mobile data parameters (allowing its use in foreground, and in background whike the Data saver is on).

And of course, make sure the app is not set to a fix location (which is often also possible), unless you really want it.
