Wrong Temperature in "Temperature" Widget

Today i got an Garmin Instinct. Everything works fine except the Temperature Widget. It says that the Temperture is 30 Degress Celcius but in my flat there are 18 Degrees Celcius.

This would make a difference of 12  Degrees Celcius.

I also tried to leave it off my wrist for 30 Minutes and it went down to 24 Degrees Celcius, which is still too much.

I also didnt find out what the second Number means in ( 30/17 )

  • Your watch shows the temperature of the pressure sensor inside the watch, not the ambient air temperature.  Body heat affects the temperature reading.  Depending on the ambient temperature, the watch must be off the wrist for quite a while until it equilibrates.

The display 30/17 indicates recorded high and low temps over the displayed period - in your case, a high of 30 and a low of 17.

If you want an accurate display of ambient air temperature, your best bet is to use a Garmin Tempe sensor which syncs with your watch and provides a much more accurate temperature unaffected by body heat.
