Can we get the tactical edition firmware to install on original?

Like the title says, is the tactical firmware in the forums here somewhere? Can we install it, or have it ported to the original instinct? My biggest want from it is I use this watch face only. I keep HR in the top left, but I don’t need the graph, I’d rather that be 2 separate items that I can configure.

It doesn't matter if hardware is the same or not. The firmware will refuse to run on a different model, quite simply. I never tried it personally, but it's a similar problem as using european/american…

Not possible. Even if you get the firmware file and upload it to the watch, the watch will refuse to install it.

I did not really assume it would be as simple as a direct install, but from what I can tell the two are using the exact same hardware with the software being the difference. I really doubt it would take much effort to make it work.

Have you tried?

If I could find the tactical OS that’s all I need, I can handle it from there.

I never tried it personally, but it's a similar problem as using european/american firmware on the same model bought in Asia. This has been discussed multiple times, and I never heard about anyone succeeding.

Honestly it’s more than a bit frustrating that the instinct has so little freedom to customize. In terms of its physical durability it is awesome, I just wish we had the customizing abilities like the other watches.

I have added a FIT file on Garmin Instinct firmware 6.10 extracted from a Fenix 6 pro and work ! is possible add stealth mode and other widget only cut and copy a file ???

I have the Instinct Tactical. The other watch face is nice to have (it's the only one I use), but the only customizable thing on it is the small circular screen. However, there is a workaround to basically trick the watch into using a different time zone other than UTC/ZULU. What they should do (however unrealistic it is) is hook the Instinct up with Connect IQ.
