Hi all,
After 9 months of careful use, I managed to scratch the screen of my beloved Instinct watch.
What's the best way to get it repaired in the UK?
Is the screen plastic or glass on the instinct...
If plastic it can be buffed out with Brasso metal polish wadding......in about half an hour.. (do all my watches like this, as I collect them and sell) there are other products to that will do the job just as good.... I won't go into it further incase the instinct has a glass screen.
Glass screens are obviously much harder.. . and I've never found a good successful way of removing scratches from them.... I either get them replaced.. or live with them... I'm not sure if anyone has a contract with Garmin (access to parts) other than Garmin themselves... Maybe ring Garmin Product support in Southampton . and see if they will replace your watch.... If you pay a fee....I think it's your best option.
Best of luck.
Do you still have this watch? If so, please let me know if you have dirt around the frame in the picture. If this is not dirt, please read my thread https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/instinct/204239/garmin-instinct---defective-glass and give the answer.
I sent the watch back to Garmin for repair
