My newest Instinct (I had a brief affair with an Apple Watch, I'm sorry) is about a month old, having owned one prior since launch. I have owned many Garmin wearables over the years and am relatively familiar with how they function. Anyways, Since updating to 5.10, my Instinct just keeps showing a constant charging animation when plugged in and it only randomly goes static to show a full charge after multiple time of plugging into a power source. No rhyme or reason and it can be the same source that just showed a constant charging cycle previously. I have left it plugged in for hours and the animation will never cease. I charge via my USB on my laptop, but here's what I've tried, to no avail: (all drivers are updated)
1. Changed to all 3 USB ports and it still just cycles the animation endlessly
2. Multiple wall chargers, battery icon just keeps showing charging
3. Portable powerbank-results same as 2
4. Master reset, no changes
The watch does appear to be charging, as about an hour after being plugged in, the battery bar reads full. Just curious why the animation never stops now, if it indicates an actual problem, and if anyone has any other solutions or is experiencing the same behavior. Otherwise, I freakin' love this thing.
