Incorrect Temperature

Your body temperature affects the temperature reading for the internal temperature sensor. To get the most accurate temperature reading, you should remove the watch from your wrist and wait 20 to 30 minutes.

You can also use an optional tempe external temperature sensor to view accurate ambient temperature readings while wearing the watch.

Garmin-Heath unless I misread his post, he stated in his first sentence that he took it off and hung it in his tent. The temperature theoretically should have adjusted accordingly to its surrounding ambient temperature and it did not.

Odie21  You are write and it is me that misread the post.  If you are still experencing this, then it is best to reachout to the Support Teams so that we can review it and see what needs to be done from that.

Correc, I removed it from my wrist as I am aware body temperature will affect the sensor.  It was off my wrist hanging in my tent as to not be touching the floor or walls of the tent to avoid either affecting the temperature sensor.  As Odie21 said, this should have provided an accurate ambient temperature reading and did not.  This is important for me as I collect this data so I know what temperature range my sleeping bag and tent will provide reasonable comfort.  

Is anyone else seeing false temperature readings?  I just want to know if it's my watch or if this is a general problem others are experiencing too. 

Yes my instinct only update temp.  when i connect to my phone.  The temp also is the outside temp and not the temp that is actual like in air conditioning. To me it seems as a false claim that the temp comes from the watch.

you are talking about weather widget. Instinct have internal temp sensor. there is a temparature widget for the sensor

I’ve just got a new instinct watch and yesterday was out by about 15 deg celcius. I was cycling and it read 23 degrees but it was more like 38 deg.
I did have it on my wrist but it was so incorrect it was pretty useless, and it didn’t change as the day got hotter. Is there some way to calibrate it?
