Instinct won't sync activities with GC app unless....

Hello,

I've started to have issues with my Instinct each time I complete an activity: bike, running, strength, etc

After completing the activity I get the error message 'Sync failed' and the activity isn't appearing in the GC App.

The only solution I've found so far is to...restart the watch. And then the activities will sync after few minutes.

The watch has 4.0.0 latest firmware. I suspect an issue within GC App after latest update for Android like 1-2 weeks ago.

Has someone else encounter this? Any solutions?

I've noticed similar behavior only going back some time. It's not consistent but sometimes it just refuses to sync after an activity. I'm usually eager to see the data in GC so perhaps I'm being impatient, but sometimes it takes either as you do, re-start the Instinct or alternatively, and quicker, just cycling on and off Bluetooth on my phone gets it to sync.

Just to confirm, does it fail when you manually force the Instinct to sync via the device?

Nope.

It fails when while in Gym, for example, I finish one exercise and end my activity from the watch.

Then, instead of seeing the activity uploaded in GC App I see an error message on Instinct.

What I do is either to restart the Instinct watch or to close GC App, close Bluetooth and then reopen both.

Sometimes, having ending the second activity this will sync and bring the other too.

It's like the watch or GC app has a full buffer or is stucked and is not able to push the exercise data.

For me it won't sync steps from time to time, even when I try to manually sync.

For activities, I have (occasional) issues after sync - switching activity tabs gives me error and shows blank screen.

yea, I sync over and over and steps won't sync with the app, I noticed that it forces to sync when you click on steps on the app and refresh, strange

I'm also having issues with it not automatically syncing after an activity is saved to the watch since updating to 4.0.0.

katanel Thank you for the error log but it does not show us much other then the fact it is not working for you. So since you are running into this error and also running older software on your device, it would be a good idea to plug your device into a computer and run the Garmin Express program since that will update your software and also sync any files that could be blocking the sync via your phone.
