What are the additional navigation screens whilst navigating/hiking?

Once underway, following a route in Navigation, there are a number of additional screens with data on which I don't fully understand. One has ETE and ETA on it and there must be 4 or so altogether (difficult to reproduce sitting at my desk). On the map screen there is a number that changes but it's not clear what it is.

Does anyone know of a place I can see all the data screen images and what everything means? There aren't many shown in the Owner's Manual it refers to some of this data by the term "you must be navigating for this data to appear".

I remember one of those screens. ETE displays the estimated amount time remaining until you reach the end or final destination. ETA, the estimated time of day for arrival. Distance remaining....

ETA stands for estimated time of arrival to your final destination and ETE stands for estimated time enroute (between waypoints/finish).  For example, ETA is the estimated time of arrival for you to reach your finish point (4:30 PM).  ETE is the estimated time enroute (2 hrs 3 mins remaining at current pace/speed).  If you post the other data fields in question, I may be able to assist there too, but most of the acronyms you'll be looking for can be found in the glossary of the Instinct's downloadable PDF owner's manual.

  • That's great thanks TMK17. I'm OK with acronyms but the number in particular, over the map, and sometimes there's a flag there (presumably referring to the end point) but I'm not clear on what they are telling me. I will try and get some screenshots...

I setup like I was going to do a walk and then selected navigation and selected a run I did near me yesterday and did a couple screenshots

This screen shows the distance of 4.08 miles until the end and it starts --> that way. and a piece of the map shows the route I did yesterday afternoon.

This screen shows (at the current speed/pace) how long to complete this walk, 4hrs and 39 minutes with a distance of 4.12 miles and should arrive at 11:23 tonight.

And my heart rate when I did the screenshot.

    Hope this helps...
