Time Won't Sync With Phone

Hi,

The time of the watch won't sync with my phone (which always is accurate with seconds) when it's connected. I have to calibrate the time via the GPS on my watch every day, other wise it will be about 4 seconds inaccurate. Is there a way to make it sync with the phone every time it's connected?

Then I suggest you contact Garmin Technical Support in your area.

And why would you think/believe your watch should sync to your phone? Looking in the Instinct manual, I read that time is solely dependent on the GPS... unless I missed something.

I'd say it's operating…

I already have it on auto and it still won't sync when connected with my phone.

I'm pretty sure that when I land in a different country/time zone and re-start my phone, the watch time updates.

That would be a plus if that happens. I don't travel and have that worry.

You are correct. When driving from one time zone to another while connected to my phone, the time on the watch automatically changes to the new time zone without any intervention as long as the Set Time is set to Auto. If not set to Auto, the time will not change automatically when driving from one time zone to another.
