Instinct Weather Wind

Hi,

I connected my phone to my watch and checked the weather widget on the watch and it said "39w". I guess this means that the wind comes from west. But what does 39 mean? I googled the weather and it said that the wind was 6 m/s.

Haha silly Garmin. I have never hear somebody looking at kph speeds. Always knots, m/s and sometimes beaufort.

Hi Carl, 39 kph is roughly 10 m/s. The instinct is showing you wind speed in kph

Well, on my Garmin Instinct v1 I cannot choose for Beaufort, as that’s what we’re most used to here in the Netherlands for windspeed. I had expected that Garmin would make a choice available in the settings, but it is not…
