I am a bit confused. For example, yesterday my Garmin Connect stated that I burned 2338 calories -- 1958 Resting and 380 Active. BUT in that same time period, I went for a strenuous 6.16 km walk and the device counted me as having burned 400 calories during the walk.
So I have two questions:
The first is do I add the 400 I burned during my walk to the total calories burned? It is a contradiction that I burned 380 when active but the device reports 400 burned during my walk.
Secondly, how are calories calculated? Combination of Weight, BMI, HR, ?
