Hello everyone,
I've been testing my new Instinct watch for 4 days now. Today, while showing 1 bar of battery remaining, some kind of countdown started saying "battery save". Afterwards the screen froze, it keeps showing the same exact screen as when the countdown ended (the same time, HR, etc). I cannot enter menus or use the watch otherwise, but strangely the screen illumination goes on whenever pressing a button. I can even sync the watch via Garmin Connect and change the settings (i.e. I turned the button sounds ON and now the sounds are actually on), but the screen doesn't react. The HR LEDs seem to be working fine. The watch doesn't react to being attached to charge and cannot be found on Garmin Express (I've never used it before).
Is there a way to reset the watch? I cannot seem to find any button combinations that would force the unit to restart. I'd be glad to be able to fix this soon as I'm leaving for a holiday of trekking in South America and was hoping to use the Instinct for a bit of extra help while navigating on the trail..
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
