Hello everyone!
I have bad experience with Strength mode in my Instinct with using optical HR sensor. You can see it in the pictures. Figure 1 is training using an optical sensor and Figure 2 is the next day of training using the ANT+ chest belt. Both are in Strength activity. I wanted to use this mode to calculate the rest time and the number of series and repetitions, etc. But the optical sensor works very badly with sudden changes in heart rate and movement of my hand (device). I tested it several times. Clock strap is set correctly, etc.
But! If I use "internal cycling" during my strength training, the watch also works better with an optical sensor. I do not know why it is, but in strength mode + optical hr sensor, my heart rate value does not match reality.
I suspect that the watch in this mode uses all motion sensors to detect the type of exercise and the optical sensor does not work properly. Take a look at the pictures. In another mode of operation, when only stopwatches and optical HR measurements are used, the graph is almost identical to that of the ANT+ chest belt.
Wrong optical sensor or watch? Any experience?
Thanks :)
