...because, despite fiddling with various settings, after a walk activity, the Instinct is not recording my route. My activity summary has no map. The GPS is enabled. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you press start to begin recording the activity? Starting an Activity While you're recording your activity you should see the right pointing arrow (triangle).
I've examined the FIT file for that activity, and there is no positional data present - so the watch is not recording GPS data at all. Is it faulty perhaps?
Sorted. I did a full reset of the watch and now it is logging GPS data. I thought it must be a default "no-brainer" feature! It must have got itself confused....
