Auto Upload option in watch settings in GC

Does anyone can explain me this option as it can't be found here (Auto Upload):

I hadn't this option on fenix 3 HR so I think it's device specific not GC specific option.

I deactivated it three days ago to stop automatic uploading my activities to be able to prepare photos and change my gear right after upload and today wondered why my Instict syncs with garmin connect but I do not see my last three days of sleeping stats. After activating this option my sleeping stats was synced but without REM Metrics for first of these three days.

So my goal is still to disable auto upload but only for activities. If it's not possible what else beside sleep and activities will I loose? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1430695.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1430696.jpg

    It's obviously a bug in the GC app. I can't disable it too. The automatic upload option always switches itself back to on.
    Btw, the auto upload option is for activities only as the text below says.

    The activity only exists in the app IF it exists in the GC cloud. The autoupload OFF does not mean 'put activity on phone but do not put in cloud'

    so I can say that this option doesn’t allow to sync anything and I do not understand how it works. I tested yesterday with disabled option and didn’t see any updates on my steps and floors, but after enabling it after long day I got long sync and updates all my stats. So either it’s a bug or not explainable described with a name of optionciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1430964.png

    For better understanding in German...
    Wenn die Option "Automatisch hochladen" aktiviert wird, versucht die Uhr nach Beenden (und Speichern) einer Aktivität alle bisher gespeicherten Daten (nicht nur die der Aktivität) mit der Garmin Cloud zu synchronisieren. Das geschieht entweder über Bluetooth und verbundener App oder falls eingestellt (und falls möglich) über WLAN. Möglicherweise versucht die Uhr auch gelegentlich zu synchronisieren (zumindest meine FR645 hat das ab und zu mal Nachts gemacht).
    Ist die Option nicht aktiviert, wird nichts automatisch synchronisiert. D.h. man muss selber manuell synchronisieren, entweder über App, WLAN oder über Garmin Express am PC.
    Was ich als vermeintlichen Bug beschrieben habe, ist die Tatsache, dass ich in meiner App auf iPhone die Option nicht deaktivieren kann.

    Markus I can disable or enable this option but what you write (source please also, or it just your thoughts?) but the problem ist that even manually taping on sync circle nothing syncs but I see successfully synced green circle.

    It's not my thoughts, it's my experience from 4 years with different watch models.
    However if you have common sync problems, it is very likely not based on the auto upload option.
