Hi finally got my new Instinct. However the Smart Notification is just not working with my phone. Toggled on and off all settings and restarting the watch and phone but still not working. The version is 2.60 and my phone is Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Anyone else facing this issue as well? Appreciate any advice.

Yeah.. Me too.. Im using mate 10 pro too.. Smart notification not working at all... Already try all setting from phone and watch too..
Hi all, why is my garmin instinct not showing incoming massages/ call notification after connected with my huawei P20 ? anyone have solution on this issue please?
You should be going to Settings - Apps & Notifications - Apps and then push the Settings button in the bottom of the apps list. From there go to Special access - Notifications access and activate it for Garmin Connect app. I know, it's all rather obscure. Another noteworthy section is Ignore battery optimizations, which might or might not have any effect on behavior.
This issue has just started on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge). It's been perfect up til now. I've done all the things suggested in this thread but wondered if other people have this issue and if maybe a factory reset is necessary :-(
It seems to be working again and this might be a good fix for some people:- I've turned of my battery saver mode. This had been switched on for the last two weeks without any effect on notifications and switching it off had no immediate effect so there might be some luck involved. ;-)
