A weird observation about steps count

I just experience the following:

last week end, I was representing my company at a booth in expo, standing and walking around for nearly 7 hrs. However, the count of steps on that day (total below 9k) is even less than my normal office day (total around 11k). I wonder if it is becos of different moving pattern in the 2 scenarios.

Anyone has similar experience?

cheers,

Not sure about your situation but it could be that you have higher movements while in office compared to during the expo and hence registered a higher number of steps. One thing for sure is the Instinct is counting way too many steps - around 1 to 3 steps to every actual step (at least in my case).
