Default watch face -symbol meaning

On the default watch face setting, what is the symbol in the lower left...next to the battery bar? Looks like half of a gear, with arrow head on top and a time next to it.

the manual doesn’t have anything illustrating the watch symbols, nor meanings of the different displays. Same are fairly obvious, while some are not.

I think that's sunrise/sunset.

Well it’s now 9 months later and there is still no guide to all the symbols on the watch face! Come on!

I agree, I think it's giving me info in places I'd find handy if I only knew what it meant.

For example on the steps taken widget page, I think that bar above the number tells me something, but I don't know what the combinations of outline or filled boxes relate to. I think it's the move bar but I don't know what it's display means or what it takes to effect a change to it. I know it thumps me on the wrist wanting me to move and sometimes says I've cleared the bar, is that the bar?

Everyone, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have put a request for an FAQ to be made to address this and they are currently working on it.

Yes, when you have the time.... ;-)

It would be great to have a full guide (with pictures!) of all the screens and symbols. There is very little in the user guide/manual.

It’s definitely Sunrise & Sunset. So it’s that Symbol, time of event, then battery reading on the bottom of watch display.

And what is the arrow on the compass screen underneath the altitude? Mine always points to the right no matter what.

This should be the baromatric trend of ambient pressure.
